Course Information
This qualification has been designed to provide the knowledge and competence to deal with emergency first aid situations in a forestry or agricultural environment.
The FAA Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid (+F) is designed to accompany a suitable First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work qualification to meet the requirements of the Forestry Commission First Aid at Work Policy.
Course Content
Course content:
- Know how to deal with a first aid emergency remote from medical assistance
- Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with a life-threatening bleeding
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty with a crush injury
- Know how to provide first aid to a casualty suffering from the effects of extreme cold
- Know how to provide first aid for a casualty suffering from Lyme disease
Course Duration
2 hours, in addition to the Emergency First at Work (1 day) course.
Certification
The qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement.
To requalify learners will need to complete the full 2-hour course again, in addition to the full, supporting qualification.
