Course Information
This one hour anaphylaxis awareness course has been designed to raise awareness of anaphylaxis, common triggers, signs and symptoms, emergency response and the use of adrenaline devices.
It may support schools with the anaphylaxis recognition and emergency response element of their wider allergy safety training.
Course Content
At the end of the course, learners will understand:
- What anaphylaxis is
- Common triggers
- Signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis
- Life-threatening airway, breathing and circulation problems
- The importance of early recognition and calling for help
- Emergency treatment for anaphylaxis and awareness of adrenaline devices and auto-injector training devices
Course Duration
A minimum of 1 hour, consisting of theoretical material.
Certification
This is a non-regulated course and so a certificate of attendance will be issued.
